Hello everyone. Today I will teach you what you should do when you have just created your website. What I will show you is optional but truly helps for SEO and indexation on Google. This will only be of use for Google and for no other search engines.

Firstly we will learn how to prove to Google that you are the owner of your website. To do this you need to create a Google account. When being logged in you can click on the small square on the right up hand corner where you can choose what application you want to use. You should then click on Search Console. When being on the page you just need to click on “Add a property” and enter your URL. Then, just follow the steps. They will give you lots of options. If you have access to your code, I recommend using the meta tag method. They will give you a code that you need to inject into your code between the <head> tags. Otherwise choose another option but you generally always have access to these <head> tags, even on platforms. I have checked and I am sure that at least Wix and WordPress give you this opportunity. After the code is added, Google will finally recognize you as the owner of the website!

This was a short article on a quite technical thing. I hope you understood everything and if you have any questions, leave a comment. I will answer you! If you found your way through this developer tool, like the post! 😉 I will write future posts on how to use the Google Search Console because it is a very complete tool but hard to master.
